Just Wanted To Say Hello
What a beautiful fall day we’re having! The sun is bright, the leaves are changing to gorgeous fall colors, and the temps are in the mid-70s. It’s my favorite time of the year!
I subscribe to the Stampin’ Up! “Paper Pumpkin” kits. I put the last couple on hold, because they kits had been stacking up in my stamp room. They’re fun and easy to put together, but, well – I just had other things to do and hadn’t gotten around to them.
While packing for vacation, I was in a quandry about what stamping supplies to take. I didn’t want to go for days and days without stamping at least a little! But I also didn’t want to take my whole craft room with me. So – I grabbed my latest Pumpkin (I think it’s August’s) and the Tin of Tags kit from the Holiday Catalog.
I have to admit, I wasn’t a huge, huge fan of the August Paper Pumpkin. I loved the idea of note cards and gift cards, and I liked the stamps. But the colors… Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Mint Macaron, Tangerine Tango, and Tip Top Taupe are some of my favorites. I just wasn’t sure about the combinations and the huge splashes of Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze. But after playing with it a little…
I used pieces from all three designs on this card. The only products I added to the kit were the Copper embossing powder (and VersaMark, of course), and the Copper Metallic Thread behind the envelope.
Here’s the card insert –
How fun is that? It’s like two cards in one! I’m excited to try some other ideas with this – and with the Tin of Tags kit. I think they’ll make some really fun Christmas cards.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
