Stamp-Off Friday Sketch Challenge
And here’s my card for the challenge.
I just noticed – after looking at this sketch for weeks – that the sentiment is supposed to be on the horizontal strip. Oops! Well – mine’s close.
I have committed to using all my designer series paper this year – and I only have until the end of May! I’m kind of a paper junkie, so I have a lot in my stash. I can do it, though! I used two designs from the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper on this card. The left panel for the sketch is one, and the horizontal band is another. I had to piece two strips to make the band fit, but I think it turned out great.
I stamped the main flower in Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink on Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, then die cut the small floral center from Daffodil Delight. I used the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and Flourish Thinlits Dies for all the stamped and die-cut images. If you bundle them, you can save 10%. Sadly, I didn’t bundle. I bought the thinlits, thinking I didn’t need the stamps. (I’ve done that before and I always – always – end up buying the stamps too. You’d think I’d learn, right?) So don’t make the same mistake I did. Save 10% and order the bundle.
I used colors from the designer series paper for the card – Blushing Bride, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, and Sahara Sand. They work really well together, I think.
I added a little bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the main flower and Rhinestone Jewels to the centers of all the flowers to give a little more depth and texture.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
