Halloween Night
Earlier today, I posted a template you can use to make cards using the fabulous Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin’ Up! In case you missed it, here’s the template.
And here’s my card.
I didn’t have the template in front of me, so my window is a little farther to the left. But that’s the cool thing about card sketches; they don’t have to be totally exact. You don’t even have to use circles for the window; you can use any shape you want.
You’ll notice that there’s no stamping on this card. I had about five minutes to create – so it’s all DSP and die-cuts. Fun!!
I decided to use the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper for my card. Sadly, this isn’t one of the “buy 3 get one free” packs. What was I thinking? (I know what I was thinking; I was thinking it would be fun to have the die-cut elements around the window. The paper wasn’t a consideration. Oops.)
The die-cuts are from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies collection. And, of course, I used the Layering Circles Framelits for the window. Easy! And the colors are very neutral – Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Smoky Slate.
You can see that you don’t have to spend hours making a card. This literally took about five to 10 minutes – and that included searching for the tree when I misplaced it.
Give the template a try! It’s super easy and lots of fun. And then go order some of our gorgeous DSP packs so you can create even more cards to send to your friends. Honestly, there’s nothing like opening my mail box and seeing a greeting card to make me smile. And when it’s a handmade card – even better!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
