Vintage Leaves
Have you ever had one of those months when you think you’ll never get everything done? Of course, you have. We all have. I’ve been having them for about six months now! But, of course, everything does eventually get checked off. YAY!
One of my favorite things is designing cards for my stamping classes. Here’s one that we did for September classes. This was one of those, “Oh, no, I need one more design for class tomorrow!” cards. And although this card is fairly simple, I think it’s very elegant. I CASE*d the design from Ronda Wade. (*Copy and Share Everything)
I used the awesome Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves set and Leaflits Framelits for the leaves. For class, we stamped the background leaves a little closer to the left side. (Sometimes things don’t always turn out like you think they will!)
The designer series paper banner is hand cut from the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). This paper is so lovely. The colors – Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla – are amazing. Two sheets also have Copper Foil on them. I love that foil. I die-cut one of the Leaflits from the foil; the other is stamped on Very Vanilla with Delightful Dijon.
I always forget to use ribbon on my projects – so this one uses three! I tied the leaves with Linen Thread. The ribbon around the stamped banner is the gorgeous gold Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Trio Pack. It’s so lovely – and sparkly! I also used a strip of the new 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon over the DSP.
Finally – the sentiment. It’s from a beautiful new set from the Holiday Catalog – Basket of Wishes. It’s a very versatile set; I’m going to use it a lot!
Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
