Happiest of Birthdays
Each year I think, “This was the best birthday ever!” I never think anything could top it – and then the next year does.
This year, I got to celebrate with almost all my family. On Thursday, Jon, Ameila, and I had lunch with Dad, Mom and my niece Beth, who’s visiting from North Carolina. Since the kids are older and have their own crazy lives, it’s difficult to coordinate plans – especially when the birthday girl is leaving town for her special day. So we had dinner with Wes, Steph, and Amelia on Friday, then breakfast with Jon and Adrianna on Saturday. Whew! I realized that all our celebrations centered around food. But, for the most part, it was all good, healthy food!
Saturday afternoon, Mike & I headed to the mountains. We had a blast just relaxing. On Sunday, he asked if I wanted to go out for my birthday. I actually just wanted to rest and eat non-restaurant food, though. So he fixed breakfast and I stamped the rest of the day. Bliss!!
Dinner was super special. Mike grilled tuna steaks and veggies and we had a candlelight dinner on the deck. He even had great music. It was so sweet! I had such a great time that I forgot to blog Sunday night – so Monday has come and almost gone without a blog.
I did want to show you some of the handmade cards I got, though. Take a look.
Aren’t these gorgeous? These are from Chris and Susan. Chris’s watercolored flower is beautiful, and I love Susan’s Birthday banner. Susan’s images are always perfectly stamped.
These are from Christy (love that Cupcake Cutouts shaker card with sequins and glitter!) and Carol. Carol’s use of the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack is stunning, I think.
I have some amazing friends, don’t you think? They’re so talented – and even though their styles are all different, each one always creates something beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
