Stamp-Off Challenge – Perpetually Penned Celebration
It’s another Friday Stamp-Off Challenge! Since it’s July 1 and almost time to celebrate the US Independence Day, creating a Patriotic project was our theme for this week.
Here’s the awesome banner for the challenge.
And now, my card.
I wanted to simulate the fireworks, so I used stamps from Perpetual Birthday Calendar and Penned & Painted. Oh – I used a little Gorgeous Grunge as well. First, I stamped the big splatter from Gorgeous Grunge two times in Crushed Curry Classic Ink. Then I stamped one of the Perpetual Birthday Calendar splatters in Real Red and Crushed Cucumber. I added a few tails off the fireworks with ink and an aqua painter.
It wasn’t quite festive enough, so I added a few really long droopy tails using one of the Penned & Painted stamps in Crushed Curry. And, finally, I added a few more Crushed Curry Perpetual Birthday Calendar splatters, and stars in Cucumber Crush and Crushed Curry.
The sentiment is yet another set – Confetti Celebrations. The photopolymer stamps are super easy to ink in different colors. I inked let’s in Night of Navy and Celebrate in Real Red.
For a little more sparkle, I splattered some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details mixed with water over the card and then added a little Silver Stampin’ Glitter.
Before you head out to celebrate the weekend, check out what Jackie and Susan did for this challenge.
I’m so looking forward to this weekend! I love celebrating our Independence Day, and this year, Mike & I are running off together until Tuesday. It’s going to be a lot of fun. We haven’t had a long, long weekend together for awhile.
Hope you have an amazing holiday. Take time to remember all those who have sacrificed so much to keep our country free.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
