Commissioned Work

Commissioned Work

I got a design job on commission today! Ok – Stephanie needed six “Congratulations” cards for co-workers. But, still – she asked me to do it instead of buying them. YAY!

Here are two of the six cards I made today.

Fabulous Four, Stampin' Up!

This uses some new and some retiring product. I bought the Irresistibly Yours paper last year, and didn’t use much. So – I pulled it out today, sponged it with Flirty Flamingo and had a great background. I mounted it on Basic Black card stock after cutting it in half, then added some Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape. How gorgeous is that black tape with the gold flecks?

Since I was using Basic Black as the top layer, I took my cue from the washi tape and gold embossed the sentiment from Fabulous Four. A few sequins later, I was finished.

In the Meadow, Stampin' Up!

This is maybe my favorite of the six. I used the retired Sale-a-bration “Sky is the Limit” set for the plane and sentiment. Then I added mountains from In the Meadow. You can’t see well in the photo, but the plane and mountains are reflected in the crystal clear blue lake. I used washi tape to add the sentiment, because I wasn’t sure it would work for what Steph’s doing. If it doesn’t, the washi tape will come off fairly easily.

The third card of the first half will be posted tomorrow. It worked perfectly with the Friday Sketch Challenge with Susan and Jackie!

I also have great news for you! Two amazing things are happening in June at Stampin’ Up! First – if you host a $350 minimum party, you can add $35 to your Stampin’ Rewards. EEEP! That’s a LOT!

The second awesome thing – if you become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in June, you can add two extra stamp sets to your starter kit – free! That’s HUGE. It could be an extra ~$100 in stamps. And there’s no limit on the price. The only stipulation is they have to be stamp sets (not bundles or other product). That’s a great deal!

So – be sure to grab some friends and place a big order or contact me to have a party in your house or at my studio next month. I’ll show you some really fun things to make with the new catalog products. And if you enjoy it as much as I do, you can join my team and get those two free sets.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Jackie! It was really fun making them, because I could use retired stamps (although I think I only used one) and got to explore different “styles.” And I think her company is going to pay me. WOOT!

I love both of those cards! The Flirty Flamingo one is my favorite though! Very nice!
