Birthday Blooms

I was just playing around tonight and decided to do a new In Color card.

Birthday Blooms, Stampin' Up!

I was really happy with this. First, I inked an acrylic block (E) with Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, and Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Markers. I spritzed the block with water, then stamped it on Whisper White cardstock. After it dried, I stamped the image from Birthday Blooms in Jet Black Stazon, then colored it with Aqua Painters and Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Old Olive Classic ink. The flower center is colored with Gold Wink of Stella.

After I finished coloring, I added some of the Birthday Blooms “dots” in Peekaboo Peach and a stamped sentiment (also in Peekaboo Peach). I punched the sentiment with the Large Oval Punch. I added a Basic Black layer between the Whisper White stamped layer and the Whisper White Thick Cardstock layer.

I can’t tell you how much I’m loving the new In Colors. I think it’s the first time I’ve really liked all the new In Colors right off the bat. Usually there are one or two that take a while for me to warm up to, but this time – I like all of them.

Birthday Blooms is a set from the Occasions Catalog that is carrying over to the new 2016-17 Annual Catalog. YAY! Again – one of my faves! But the Large Oval Punch is retiring – as are a lot of other stamps and accessories. Check out the list here, and be sure to order soon so you’re not disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
