It’s challenge time! This was a tic-tac-toe challenge from Jackie. I love Tic-tac-toe challenges.
Here’s the game board.
Fun, right? I think I could go with every line for this challenge. I love everything in every square. But – I went with the left vertical – Candy Dots, Framlits/Thinlits, Designer Series Paper.
I love, Love, LOVE the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, so I knew I wanted to show as much as I could with this one. I decided on a “collar fold,” so I could showcase two sides of one paper. Then I backed it with another design.
The collar fold is super simple. At the center of the dsp, simply cut about 1″ in, then fold from the corner to the slit on both sides to form a collar.
For the rest of the card, I simply die-cut some flowers using the Botanical Builder Framelits dies, and backed them with a Pansy punch flower. Don’t they work well together? I placed a Regals candy dot in the center of each flower.
For the final touches, I added a die-cut leaf and a “Bitty Banners” die-cut “just for you” (from my fave sentiment set, Teeny Tiny Wishes). I also added a bit of Gold Metallic Thread behind the flowers, just for fun.
So give the challenge a try. There are so many cool combinations, you could make a dozen or more cards. (I have two, and I used the same line for both. You’ll see the second one later.)
Check out what Susan and Jackie did with this challenge, and prepare to be amazed. Those two make my jaw drop every time. They’re two of my dearest and oldest (not age-wise, but time-wise) stamping friends, and I’ve seen so much artistic growth in them this year. They’re great designers!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful card (as always), Buffy. I love all the DSP’s together! I

Thanks, Susan. It’s so funny that we all used the same framelits, but none of us did the same row.
