It’s another “Stamp-Off” challenge day! This is a sketch from Jackie.
Here’s the sketch, inspired by Carolyn King.
I didn’t deviate much from the sketch. In fact, I inadvertently used the same colors. I just made a sketch of the sketch and took it to my stamp room. It seemed to work perfectly with the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and I had just purchased the Bohemian Card Stock. It didn’t register until just now that my colors are so similar. Interesting how things stick in your head.
Anyway – here’s my card.
This just seemed to come together (probably because the sketch was stuck in my head). I used Rich Razzleberry for the card base and the layer under the diamonds. The embossed layer is Bermuda Bay. I really love Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry together!
I topped each Rich Razzleberry diamond with a Tangelo Twist diamond, cut just a bit smaller. I didn’t use dies or punches for the diamonds (squares). I simply cut them with my Paper Trimmer.
I stamped two of the Petite Petals flowers in Rich Razzleberry and one in Crushed Curry. I used my Aqua Painter to pull some of the color from the edges into the petals, then punched with the Petite Petals punch. After I adhered them to the cards, I added a little Gold Wink of Stella to the flowers.
The final touch was a sentiment. I used Rich Razzleberry to stamp just for you from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto Whisper White card stock. I punched with the Washi Label punch. Since the left edge was hidden behind the flower, I simply cut it to fit instead of “re-punching.”
This card was so quick and easy. The best thing about this layout is you can use it for any occasion by simply changing the stamped/punched image. You could use star, heart, or butterfly punches. Or you could even use a die-cut. The little duckie in the Baby’s First Framelits would look so cute on a new baby or first birthday card, don’t you think?
Now – go see what Susan & Jackie created! I know they have amazing cards for you to see. I have learned so much from both of them. They’re very talented artists!

Great idea to use the aquapainter to pull some of the colour across the petite petals. I sometimes use the blender pen but I’ll try your idea next time. So funny how your mind totally remembered the colours of the sketch unconsciously. Lovely card Buffy.

Thanks, Bev! I keep forgetting about the Blender Pens! They work great for a more subtle look (and probably don’t smear the outline as much). Thanks for the reminder!
