I posted my ombre heart card a few days ago. I thought about using it for my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator team meeting shoebox swap, but I chose this one instead.
I felt like this one showcased all the In Colors a little better than the hearts with the teeny, tiny “spot the retiring In Color” heart card. Some of my team members actually asked, “Where’s the In Color?” when I showed them the heart card. So this was a good choice, I think.
I went with a Whisper White card stock layer on a Whisper White thick card stock layer card for this one. I love that look! And while you can sponge or spritz the Sale-a-bration white Metallics Glitter Tape, I opted to keep it white. (If you decide to sponge, I’d use a sponge dauber. It seems to work a little better – at least for me!)
This card is so simple. Punch Bitty Butterflies from each of the retiring In Colors (Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, and Blackberry Bliss). Punch an Elegant Butterfly from the Whisper White card stock. Then, simply adhere the White Metallics Glitter Tape and four of the punched butterflies to the left side of the card and stamp the sentiment. After you adhere the Whisper White layer to the card, add the fifth butterfly inside the punched Elegant Butterfly. Boom – done.
Speaking of Retiring In Colors, the retiring list for the 2015-16 Annual Catalog will be coming out soon. If you want any of the retiring In Colors, you should probably order them before the retiring list comes out. Seriously, it’s a mad feeding frenzy when the retiring list hits the internet and everyone realizes, “Oh, right – I need more Blackberry Bliss!” So if you don’t want to be disappointed, order now!
