Let’s Drink Coffee

I’m really enjoying the “A Nice Cuppa” stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog. Personally, I enjoy a nice cuppa coffee more than tea. Don’t get me wrong. I like tea. I just like coffee better. A lot better. So here’s my nod to coffee. (Actually, it’s because of coffee that I don’t nod off during the day.)

A Nice Cuppa, Balloon Celebration, Stampin' Up!

I love the Perfect Plum/Rose Red color combination. I usually add Elegant Eggplant into the mix, but I decided to use Marina Mist this time. I think it just adds a little brightness, don’t you?

I die-cut the cup, the heart, and the steam with the Cup and Kettle Framelits Dies. You can bundle the dies and the A Nice Cuppa stamp set and save 15%. Add another $11 purchase, and you earn a free Sale-a-bration product as well! Need help with that $11? What about the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack and Have a Cuppa Embellishments? Or the Bermuda Bay 1/8″ stitched Ribbon and Have a Cuppa cardstock pack?

Here are some more options for “add-ons” to reach that $50. The Metallic Foil Doilies and It’s My Party Designer Series Washi Tape. Even though the washi tape is Melon Mambo, it coordinates with the rest of my card, I think. If you prefer neutrals, I also used some Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape.

The sentiments on this card are from the “Balloon Celebration” stamp set. Coffee and cookies? Yum! (Or lately, with Miss Amelia, it’s milk and cookies.)

Speaking of Miss Amelia – she’s talking up a storm. I told her mommy today that she knows the word “cookies.” “Oh, really?” she said. “Where did she learn that?” Seriously? Every little girl learns the word “cookies” at Grandma’s house, doesn’t she? Amelia doesn’t get too many at a time, and they’re “mini cookies.” And she only gets them after she’s eaten healthy stuff. Usually.

I’m amazed at how much she understands. She gets so frustrated because we don’t understand what she’s saying – but she understands us. She’s pretty incredible. Several times today I said something and by her reactions to what I said, it was obvious that she understood.  And she imitates everything we do. She made some faces today that I’ve definitely seen her mom and dad make.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a cuppa with someone you love today!

I am trying to find the Cups & Kettle Framelits only. I bought the stamp set on the going out of availability from SU. Do you know where one might me available for the going price. It is on eBay for $98. I’m not crazy. Are you able to help me?

Wow! That’s a crazy price. Right now, everyone wants them, because they just retired. The demand – and price – will go down in a few months if you can wait. I’ve seen lots of requests in Buy/Sell/Trade forums. You could post a request in a B/S/T thread on splitcoaststampers.com or another stamping forum. There’s also a gentleman who makes dies. If you search for “Dies by Dave,” you’ll probably find him. I haven’t used his products, but I know people who have, and they’re quite pleased. I think he made a die for one of the stamps in that set that didn’t have a coordinating die from Stampin’ Up! Or just wait it out until everyone else decides they don’t need them after all and the ebay price drops. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Good luck!
