I finally inked up my Balloon Celebrations set from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. How fun! I CASEd a card designed by Heidi Baks for this one. I needed something simple and quick, because kids were coming over for Super Bowl snacks, and I didn’t have a lot of time. This card was perfect! So perfect, in fact, that it’s probably one we’ll be making at our card classes this month.
Basically the only thing I changed from Heidi’s card was the color palette. I used the Love Blossoms designer series paper stack for my middle layer, so I took my card and balloon colors from that.
I stamped the balloons on Whisper White card stock in Garden Green and Wild Wasabi, and Blush Blossoms and Rose Red. Then I punched them with the new Balloon punch. If you order the stamp set and punch together, you can save 15%!
The balloon strings are Basic Gray. I thought that would make a nice “string color.” And, of course, the bow is Rose Red.
I love the subtle bling the sequins add to the card. I used the Metallics Sequin Assortment from the annual catalog.
Although it was a long game, Miss Amelia hung in there until the end. She ended up spending the night here, and she fell asleep with very little fuss. But since I’m sure I’ll get an early morning wake-up call, this will be a short post.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
