If you’ve already checked in today, or if you’re following me by e-mail or on Facebook or Twitter, please forget everything you saw already this morning. For some reason, I’m a week ahead of myself, so the card I scheduled was supposed to be next Friday. Oops! Obviously, I haven’t updated my calendar in a few weeks. Ok, since January 1. *sigh* I’ve been busy with a cutie who is a lot more fun than calendars!
Fortunately for me, I had another card “in the wings.” This is for the Craft Project Central “Creating Pretty Cards” sketch challenge. These are such fun challenges – and for every 10 cards entered, one is chosen to win a free one-month subscription! Here’s the sketch for this month.
””[‘This sketch was designed by Monika. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to use the Have a Cuppa set and my new Pool Party Glitter Ribbon!
The sketch allows for any shape for the “tag,” but since I don’t use my tag topper punches enough, I decided to use the Scalloped Tag Topper for mine. I couldn’t decide on a ribbon for the tag, so I used some It’s My Party Washi Tape. I simply doubled the tape, brought the torn ends through the tag and tied them with some Whisper White Baker’s Twine.
By ordering the A Nice Cuppa Bundle, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, and the It’s My Party Washi Tape, I qualified for a free Sale-a-bration item – so I used the beautiful Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. I love the color palette.
For the element at the left of the main image, I used a lemon slice. I thought that would be fun with tea, right? And I wanted a sugared lemon, so I added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella brush. (The tea bag tag also got hit with some gold Wink of Stella.)
The flowers are punched using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower, and I added an enamel dot from the It’s My Party suite. Don’t you love how all of the Stampin’ Up! products work together? There are elements from at least three different catalog suites in this project, but they all coordinate.
Hope you can play along with the sketch this month. It’s a fun one – and you just might win a free subscription that includes tutorials for 10 different projects.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
