Tonight is the second half of our January Blog Hop! I’ll be using mostly Sale-a-bration products, but I do have some Occasions products as well. The hop goes live at 9 p.m. EST Thursday, January 21, and after seeing the line-up, I know you’ll be “wowed” by the entries.
For an “early” post, I was going to make something spectacular with the Botanical Blooms Bundle that Sandy let me borrow until mine comes in next week, but, alas, Mother Nature is interfering with my crafting. The weather forecast says we’re going to have a “major snow event” this weekend, so I decided to prepare early. Usually I wait – because the forecast is always wrong – and end up without milk, bread, and toilet paper. Why are those the things people stock up on when there’s a major snow event, by the way? Why not chocolate and chicken wings and popcorn and soda? I saw a lady from Boston in the store today and she had a cart full of beer. She was getting ready for “the game.” (Playoffs this weekend, right? Can you tell I don’t “do sports?”) Anyway – we have lots of milk, plenty of bread, and Mike has been stocking up on TP since late summer – only because we can never remember if we have a whole container from Sam’s Club or just a few rolls left – so we just keep buying it. We can give Mr. Whiffle a run for his money soon.
Anyway – I decided to prep today, so while Mike was home and Miss Amelia was eating lunch, I ran to the store. I needed cat food (which I forgot), hand soap for the bathroom, and some hair care products. Because, honestly, who wants to be snowbound with bad hair? I added some cinnamon buns and turnovers for snow day breakfasts for the guys. Most of what I bought was for Wes & Steph, because she’s working late tomorrow and he’s working nights, and I didn’t want my granddaughter foodless over the weekend.
But while I was there, I saw the cutest little snow ensemble, and I had to buy it.
How adorable is this? She loves cats, and as soon as Amelia saw the hat, she started “meow”ing. (I’m so proud of her. When she “meows,” she goes all the way through the “ooo” sound at the end. She’s going to be a singer; I know it!) The hat and mittens were a combo, and I couldn’t resist the snow bibs and boots. She has a beautiful winter coat from my friend Emily, and I also bought her some snow gloves. So, Miss Amelia is ready for the snow!
Cute story about the boots. I think I mentioned that Mike & I bought her sparkly pink Crocs that she loves. Well, her new boots are also sparkly, and she wore them all day. She even took a nap in them, because when I took them off, I heard, “Oh, nooooooo!”
Anyway – between the shopping and the playing and the modeling, I didn’t have time to create anything for you. So you’ll just have to enjoy Wes & Steph’s creation until 9 tonight.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day! Don’t forget to check back in for the hop tonight!
Don’t forget potato chips! Whenever there is a blizzard we have to buy them! I have no clue why. It is just because!
