We had our monthly Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Group meeting Sunday afternoon, and Sandy was in charge of the Make & Take. I know when Sandy does the Make & Take that my budget is going to suffer. Sunday was no exception.
Isn’t that gorgeous? She used the Botanical Blooms bundle and the Botanical Blooms Washi Tape. With this bundle, you not only get the Botanical Blooms stamp set and Botanical Builders Framelits dies, but you also get the Botanical Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP). Nice, right?
I didn’t get anything from this suite when I preordered. I already have so many flower sets and matching framelits – current and retired – that I decided I didn’t need one more. And then, here comes Sandy with her gorgeous card and my resolve was shot. I mean, look at the left edge of the DSP. How cute is that die that cuts a border? And the flower that cuts little stand-up petals in the petals. *sigh*
I put in an order with lots of hostess credits Stampin’ Rewards, and I vowed to use all the credits on cardstock*. I mean, when you’re cutting paper for 8-12 people and they’re each making five cards with at least two layers, that’s a lot of cardstock. I was low in several colors of cardstock – Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Very Vanilla, Garden Green… – so I added them to my order. And then my evil twin decided to speak.
“You know,” whispered Evil Twin, “this may be the year for a color change. Real Red and Garden Green have been around for a long time, so they might be replaced with something fresh. Do you really want all that retired cardstock around?” No, Evil Twin! I need Real Red for Valentines and Garden Green for leaves. “Oh, but you have so much pink! Pink Valentines are pretty! And, really, how many Valentines are you going to make? You already have several, and you can just make cute, non-traditional Valentines for all the kids. And who needs Garden Green when you have Wild Wasabi, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and more? How much green do you need?” Hush, Evil Twin, hush! But I could feel myself weakening.
In the end, I deleted almost all the cardstock (including the reds, so Valentines may be Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette this year. And I just realized that’s a GORGEOUS combo!) and added the Botanical Blooms bundle, and washi tape, and…Darn that Sandy! She’s such an enabler.
All joking aside, Sandy is a sweetheart, and I love her to pieces. And she’s an amazing designer as well (but you knew that by looking at her card).
Help me recoup my losses by placing your order today! For every $50 you spend, you can select a free Sale-a-bration product! And if your wish list is as long as mine, join my team. You’ll get an extra $30 of product in your starter kit. That’s $155 worth of product – all your choice! – for only $99. And demonstrators get cool rewards for Sale-a-bration achievements. It’s a great time to buy, host, or join! Message me for more info!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day – and be sure to check in tomorrow (Thursday) night at 9 EST for our second installment of the January Wacky Watercooler Hop!

Thanks, Deborah! It is a beautiful card! (I’ll tell Sandy.) I can’t wait for mine to get here, but in the meantime, Sandy loaned hers to me. (She’s an enabler, but she’s a sweet enabler!)
