Happy Day

This card idea has been in my head for days, and I finally had a chance today to put it on paper.

Happy Home, Cottage Greetings, Stampin' Up!

The image is a new set from the Occasions Catalog. Remember the Happy Scenes set in the Holiday Catalog? And the coordinating Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies that created a window for the stamped images? Well – Happy Home is the spring version of the stamp set.

I decided to create a Clean & Simple card and skip the window. At least, it’s clean & simple for me! I stamped the image in Basic Black Archival ink, and used an Aqua Painter and Cucumber Crush ink for the grass. I colored the kite and the shirt and pants on the child with Stampin’ Write Markers (Watermelon Wonder, Lost Lagoon).

The sentiment is from Cottage Greetings, and it’s stamped in Watermelon Wonder. It just seemed to fit this scene, don’t you think? The stamped layer is Whisper White Cardstock, and the card base is Whisper White Thick Cardstock. I love the white on white look. It’s very clean. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to layer the stamped image to the card. And it needed just a little something, so I added a little linen thread. Done!

Remember you’ll be able to order from the Occasions Catalog beginning January 5. And that’s also the first day of Sale-a-bration! So get your wish list ready and take advantage of those free products.

The Holiday Catalog and the Annual Catalog are still live as well, so be sure to grab the products you love before it’s too late. A few Holiday Catalog items are already sold out, but most are still available.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday! Our Christmas was so much fun. Miss Amelia is 16 months old now, and she loved Christmas. Mike bought her the little dress she’s wearing in the photo, and I was thinking, “Seriously? Sleeveless? She’ll freeze!” But she was the only one not overly warm this year. It was quite balmy here – especially in the house after I cooked dinner.

Amelia's Second Christmas

The kitchen set is one of Amelia’s Christmas presents from Mike & me. She loves it! In this picture, Wesley’s teaching her how to heat up pizza in the microwave. She always pushes the buttons after she closes the door now.

I think this is one of my favorite pictures of my baby with his baby. He is such a wonderful daddy.

Wishing you great things in 2016. Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
