Timeless

I’ve been trying to embrace a lot of different styles with my stamping art. It always pleases me when no one can guess a project is mine, because I don’t like getting “pigeonholed” into a specific style.

My favorite, of course, is vintage. I love the colors, the shabbiness, and the nostalgia of vintage pieces. I used to do vintage all the time, but I know not everyone shares my love of old things, so I’ve been trying to do more Clean & Simple and “cute” projects.

Today, though – today was the day I just wanted to stamp for my pleasure. So I grabbed two of my new stamp sets – Timeless Textures from the upcoming Occasions Catalog, and the Sky Is the Limit Sale-a-bration set- and just let my creativity go wild.

Timeless Textures, Sky Is the Limit, Stampin' Up!

This card makes me happy. I stamped the Timeless Textures images in Early Espresso and Crumb Cake Classic Inks, Whisper White Craft Ink, and Versamark. I was already in a happy place! Then I added the plane in Basic Black Archival Ink and the sentiment in Early Espresso. And, of course, I had to sponge the edges of the card with a little Soft Suede Classic ink.

I knew I wanted to layer it to Basic Black, but the card stock just seemed so plain with all the sponging and texture images on the Crumb Cake layer. I decided to emboss it with the Zig Zag embossing folder, and then I sponged the raised areas with more Whisper White. I added a little Burlap Ribbon and layered everything to a Crumb Cake card.

Of all the projects I made today, this is my favorite. You’re going to love the Occasions Catalog. You’ll be able to order from it beginning January 5, and you’ll also have the opportunity to select free Sale-a-bration products with each $50 you spend. If you love the Sky Is the Limit set like I do, you’ll want it to be one of your first Sale-a-bration products, because it’s only available through February 15, 2016.  Never fear, though – there will be more products added in February! Join my team during Sale-a-bration, and you can select an additional $30 in products for your starter kit. That’s $155 of products for only $99. Or you can host a qualifying party during Sale-a-bration and get $25 more in Stampin’ Rewards. It’s a win-win-win!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

I love your card!! I like many styles and vintage is one of them! 🙂 BTW, I’m not sure why this Gravatar face shows up when putting in my email address when leaving this comment. It totally isn’t my doing and I would go with something more suitable for me if I were to choose one! LOL!
