Tag, You’re It!

I love getting together with other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. We had our monthly meeting Tuesday night. Most of the demos who attend are part of my team, but we have some local “orphans” (who aren’t really orphans; their uplines are just farther away) who also attend.  This time, instead of a Make & Take, we had a “tag” shoebox swap.

I love all the tags we made. They didn’t have to be Christmas, and I’m so glad Chris decided to go with an “all-occasion.” It was perfect!

Here are the tags.

Stampin' Up!, Holidays, TagsThe “from Santa” tag is Sandy’s.Home for Christmas, Stampin' Up!

We cut the Santa from the Home for Christmas designer series paper (several of us had that same idea!) and popped him up on the Gorgeous Grunge splattered Whisper White banner. I love how Sandy offset the two tags. Everyone’s favorite element on this one was the glitter in Santa’s beard. It’s perfect for a snowy Christmas Eve!

Carol used a kraft base.Cheer All Year, Stampin' Up!, Christmas

We stamped the sentiment from Season of Cheer in Real Red and Garden Green, then added the tree. It’s not as obvious in the photo, but the tree is stamped first, then stamped again in Versamark and embossed with Iridescent Ice. I love how she used little punched dots for the ornaments. The tree is from the Cheer All Year set from the Holiday Catalog.

Chris gave us color and ribbon options. I chose Rose Red with Burlap Ribbon.

Watercolor Wings, Stampin' Up!This is an all-occasion tag using the Watercolor Wings stamp set from the Annual Catalog with the Butterflies thinlits. I love the Cherry Cobbler “shadow” under the stamped butterfly. So cute!

Christy’s tag is the deer from Home for Christmas layered over other pieces of the designer series paper.

Home for Christmas, Stampin' Up!She also added some of the Home for Christmas enamel dots and a piece of the Very Vanilla 1-1/4″ Subtle Stripes Satin Ribbon. Again, it’s hard to see in the photo, but we embossed the ribbon using the Softly Falling folder. This is a very clever way to use the ribbon, I think. I added a left over dot from Carol’s tag to the deer’s nose.

The photo really doesn’t show the gorgeousness of Liz’s Silent Night tag.

Jingle all the Way, Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Stampin' Up!There’s an embossed layer of Whisper White under the Sleigh Ride edgelit town. It’s all layered to a Whisper White thick card stock tag with silver embossed “Silent Night” and silver cording trim. It’s so pretty in real life. I may add it to a card instead of using it for a tag.

The Santa pop-up tag is mine.

Home for Christmas, Cozy Christmas, Stampin' Up!The front is very simple – a scrap of Season of Cheer designer series paper with a gold foil “jolly” die-cut. The inside is another fussy cut Santa that pops up when you open the tag.

Most of the products used on the Christmas tags are in the Holiday catalog – and they’re retiring soon, so grab them while you can. Accessories (paper, embellishments, ribbon, etc.) are only available while supplies last.

We have so much fun at our meetings. We do a make & take, but we also talk about business, changes, and upcoming Stampin’ Up! events and promotions. If you’re a demonstrator in the Winchester area, you’re more than welcome to join us! And if you’re not a demonstrator and would like to be, I’d love to have you on my team. You can join now and enjoy the Occasions Catalog pre-order period and the Sale-a-bration “pre-earn” in December. Or you can wait until Sale-a-bration in January and enjoy extra product in your starter kit!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
