I love this time of year! The lights, the music, the good will (ok, sometimes that’s missing when you’re shopping, but I try to be kind!) I even enjoy the weather, although it’s rarely cold and snowy here.
Part of the Christmas magic for me this week is the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog preorder! Demonstrators could order from the catalog today – and we can pre-earn Sale-a-bration items. I was very happy to spend under $200 to get well over $300 in products. I was determined not to go over my budget, and I’m proud to announce I was strong and only spent about $10 more than I wanted. BUT – I paid extra shipping for expediting, and there was tax involved, so, really, I didn’t go over budget at all. (How’s that for rationalizing? I should go into politics.)
Preordering is just one of the many benefits of being a demonstrator. Want to know more? Check out the info here, or drop me a message!
Our Ashlynn also loves Stampin’ Up! orders. Well, at least the boxes. She took this one over as soon as I set it down.
How cute is that? I think she noticed some Iced Rhinestone Embellishments and wanted to claim them. Too, bad, Ashlynn! They belong to someone else.
Until my order comes, I’ll be showing you more Christmas cards. Here’s one I made this morning – in about 10 minutes. Seriously – it was that quick.
The outside is plain. I used the gold snowflake design from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack for the front, then die-cut “Joy” using the Wonderful Wreath Framelits and Gold Foil Sheets. (I think I was inspired by my friend Susan’s card today. I wasn’t consciously thinking about CASEing her, but the white and gold along with the die-cut must have been stuck in my mind.)
I got a little heavy handed with the fine-tip glue, and I wanted a photo before I had to leave, so it hadn’t dried yet. It looks a lot better now that the glue is dry.
The inside was the fun part.
It’s a pop-up! These are so easy to make. I’ll post a tutorial soon! “Santa” is from the Home for Christmas designer series paper, and the gold-embossed sentiment is from the Cozy Christmas set. I thought it was a perfect saying for the Santa card.
Since the inside was a little plain, I added a few Wonderland snowflakes. I stamped them with Whisper White craft ink, then embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. It gives it just a little shimmer and add a little more magic to the card.
Hope you’re having a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a beautiful, magical day!
