It’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge! This one is an Inspiration Challenge – and it’s a Tic Tac Toe game. Here’s the board.
The idea is just like the kids’ game – select three products in a row, either horizontally, diagonally, or vertically, and use those products on a project. You can use other products as well, but you must use the three in the row you choose.
Here’s my card.
I wanted to use my Embellished Ornaments bundle for this card – and I started with a great sketch by another demonstrator cyber friend Susie Nelson, but I kind of deviated from the sketch. (Sorry, Susie!)
My first ornament was blue, but this was one of the bundles Sandy borrowed a few weeks ago and she had an extra Real Red die cut in the box. I die cut an ornament background and ornament topper from a Gold Foil Sheet and a “hook” from Silver Foil, and I was on my way.
I used the Home for Christmas designer series paper for the bottom of the card because I like stripes and I thought it looked striking with the Pacific Point and Real Red of the card.
I didn’t want the ornament to be hanging in midair, so I added some greenery from the Festive Fireplace set and die-cut it with the Festive Fireside Framelits (this is the deviation from Susie’s sketch). My first attempt was on Pool Party, because, hey – it looks like sky, kind of. Right? But I wasn’t feeling it after looking at it for two days, so I changed it to Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla.
I thought it needed something more – and I still needed “Heat Embossing” to complete my row, so I added a little gold “Merry Christmas” tag. The sentiment is embossed in black embossing powder. So there’s my vertical row – Gold, Die-cut, Heat Embossing.
Give the challenge a try! It’s a lot of fun, I promise! You can see lots of inspiration here, and if your project is selected as the favorite, you’ll get to post our badge to your blog or web site. The deadline for entries is Monday, noon MT. (Of course, you can add entries as long as you’d like, but after noon Monday, they can’t be selected as the favorite.)
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
