Watercooler Wednesday Challenge

It’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge! This one is a sketch challenge. Here’s Jackie’s sketch.

Watercooler Wednesday, Stampin' Up!

And here’s the card I made using her sketch.

Mine is fairly simple. This is one of the “motel cards” from our trip in August. I used Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White, and Mossy Meadow. The trees are from the Happy Scenes set. You don’t always have to have them out a window, right?

I stamped the diagonal piece with images from Winter Wishes. I love that set. It’s very vintage – although we still have a sled like that. And somewhere we have cross country skis. I think Mike & I used them one time. We just don’t get that much snow. But the time we shovel off the walk, the snow is gone. Ok – it’s not quite that fast. But if I actually get snowbound, I want to spend it with hot chocolate in my craft room. Somehow being out in the cold, clean, crisp air (emphasis on cold) isn’t as fun these days.

I decided the trees needed a little something more, so I added snowflakes (from Happy Scenes) and covered them with Dazzling Details.

Give the sketch a try! Create your card, then link to the Watercooler Challenge blog. If you’re one of the winners, you can add our badge to your blog or web site.

We’re still in Williamsburg, and it’s lovely here! The temps are perfect – highs in the high 70s and low 80s – and it’s sunny. I’m thankful for the rain we had last week, but the sunshine makes me happy. And now that you have John Denver songs running thrugh your head, I’ll jump off!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Hope you have a wonderful day!
