Christmas Cuties

My awesome box of Stampin’ Up! products arrived Wednesday. I had saved several months of compensation from my Craft Project Central projects, so the order was huge (for me, at least!). It was so big, I couldn’t remember what I had ordered. How sad is that? And this has been one heck of a week – so I haven’t had time to do more than stare longingly at everything before today.

Today, I grabbed the whole box and took it to the office for my “Craft Day.” And here’s the really sad part. I just stared at everything. There was so much, it was a little overwhelming. What should I start with? Do I want to just craft for fun or work on something for a challenge? Ugh. I just wandered around the room and ate Snickers minis for a half hour until the chocolate kicked in.

I decided to use the Craft Project Central CPC51 sketch again with the Christmas Cuties stamp set.

Christmas Cuties, Stampin' Up!, CPC51

How adorable is this little angel? I added some Gold Glitz Dazzling Details to her halo and shoes, and plain Dazzling Details to her wings. I love the way it turned out.

For the accent pieces, I used more of the Season of Cheer designer series paper and Season of Cheer designer washi tape. The washi tape got lost in the designer series paper, so I pulled it off and backed it with some Whisper White card stock before adding it back in.

I’m happy with the way this turned out. I finished this card and started two more that I could finish at home – and that’s all I got done in five hours. (Sad, I know!) In my defense, though, two cuties (Amelia and Stephee) dropped by with hugs and smiles, so I took a slight break from stamping.

Christy and Sandy took pity on me, and they each took several stamp sets home to see what they could create by our Monday night demo meeting. That barely put a dent in my stash, but it took a little pressure off knowing that even if I can’t create anything else, I’ll have something I can show you.

I hope you have a lovely weekend! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
