As promised, here are my flowers from Judy –
Aren’t they gorgeous? When it comes to flowers, pink is my favorite for everything. And I’m super excited, because it’s been over a week, and it’s still alive! As long as the cat stays away from it and I can keep Mike from drowning it, I think it will be ok.
This is the card Susan sent me.
I love this card. First of all, Susan doesn’t usually sponge or do anything vintage-like. But look at how awesome this card is! The Mint Macaron card base has the little background pattern from Butterfly Basics stamped on it. The Tip Top Taupe layer is sponged, as is the top layer. I love how Susan used Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe together – and then added the little splash of…hmmm. I’m going to guess So Saffron, although it may be Hello Honey. It doesn’t look bright enough to be Daffodil Delight, but it’s not brown enough to be Delightful Dijon. (Won’t I feel silly if I’m wrong?) Anyway – she stamped and die-cut the butterfly with the Butterflies thinlits, then adhered it over some linen thread. And, remember – if you bundle the thinlits and stamp set, you can save 15%.

Now, it’s time for some “Susan love.” She doesn’t like the card. I think it’s because she’s not used to sponging and tearing and all that other messy stuff. Personally, I think this card is gorgeous, and so do my stamping friends. So – leave a comment telling me how much you love this card, and I’ll send all the comments to Susan so it will build her confidence in her Vintage-ability.

I think Susan did an excellent job being vintage-y. And I’m not a huge fan of mint macaron, but it does look nice combined with tip top taupe (which I love).

Thanks for the reply, Carol! I agree about the combo. We’ll have to try that soon. Like this month! Or maybe next month. Just realized I don’t have much Tip Top Taupe. (How did that happen??)

It is totally an awesome card – I couldn’t decide whether to tell you, or Susan, until I finished reading 😉 My favorite thing is that it’s fairly clean for vintage – perfect combination of elements, colors, sponging, and not overdone
