I die-cut the butterfly from more Pretty Petals designer series paper stack patterns, using a soft floral pattern and the Bold Butterfly Framelits for the main layer and the Very Vanilla/tiny Basic Black polka dot pattern with the Butterflies Thinlits for the detail. I looped some linen thread under the butterfly before adhering it to the card.
There’s a new glue in town – a fine-tip glue pen – and it’s great for gluing little detailed images, like the butterfly or die-cut sentiments. Even if it gushes out a little (because I’m totally liquid glue challenged), it just dries. It doesn’t stay tacky like the 2-way glue pen and multipurpose liquid adhesive. This is in the Holiday catalog, available September 1. Don’t miss it! I knew it was in the catalog and still almost missed it. It’s hiding in the back of the catalog in the “Into the Woods” section. (And now that’s stuck in my head. Better than the Chuggington theme song that’s been running through it for days now.)
I think I forgot to send a birthday card to my wonderful sister-in-law earlier this month. (Have I mentioned this summer has been absolutely wonderful, but absolutely crazy?) So I stamped “happy birthday” from And Many More in Basic Black and die cut it with the Bitty Banners framelits. Look how well the Archival Basic Black ink works with small word stamps! You can order this ink as well as the fine-tip glue pen on Tuesday, September 1.
I’m writing this in the motel. It’s our last day here, and while things are quiet and calm, I thought I’d schedule some blog posts. I just realized that this one will launch on Saturday, and it’s perfect that this is a birthday card, because Saturday, August 29 is Miss Amelia’s first birthday! I can’t believe it’s been a year already. I’ll post some photos of her party – because I know you can’t wait to see them. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
