Yes – those are the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets used on this card. I started with a background using Work of Art. Remember, I’m on a vacation, so I have limited supplies. I didn’t bring a huge number of stamp pads, but I did bring markers. I also didn’t bring any spritzers with me. So for the background, I inked the stamps with markers, then used an aqua painter over the inked stamp to soften it a little before stamping on Very Vanilla. I used Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, and Blushing Bride.
Of course, I had to have splatter, right? So I added some of the Awesomely Artistic splatters in Blushing Bride and Tip Top Taupe. And then I splattered some Dazzling Details over the card with my aqua painter, and dumped some gold glitter over it.
This is probably a good time to talk about how amazing my husband is. I mentioned that when he leaves for class with his laptop, I take over the desk with my stamping supplies. And that includes glitter. I’m sure that, just by sitting at the desk before he leaves, he heads off to class with glitter essence all over him. And he hasn’t complained once! (Maybe he doesn’t know, though. So we’ll keep this one quiet.)
Back to the card…I stamped the little bird from An Open Heart in Archival Basic Black (put this on your Holiday Catalog wish list now!), colored it with Tip Top Taupe and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Markers and cut it out. Before adhering it to the card, I added a bit of Gold Metallic Thread behind it.
I’m not sure what greeting will go on this card. It would make a good sympathy card, or birthday or thank you, of course. I think I’ll just hang onto it until I need a card and then decide what it will be.
