Tax Holidays!

I had intended to spend the late afternoon/evening hours last night creating something spectacular to post today. But, sadly, life intervened. My niece, who’s visiting my parents for a couple weeks, had to go to the ER this afternoon. What a horrible way to mess up your vacation, right? She’s so sweet, though, and handling it very well. She’ll be spending at least tonight in the hospital, so I ran to the store to pick up a few things for her and Mom, who will be staying with her. It was so fun shopping, and trying to think of everything that would make their stay a little more comfortable – sleeping socks, puzzle books, snacks, water… I know the hospital will provide things for Beth, but sometimes the “caregiver” has to fend for his or herself. And Mom is very picky about the water she drinks. She and Dad have a well, so she’s suspicious of any water that isn’t from their house.

So, in lieu of a gorgeous creation, I’ll remind you of the Tax Free Holidays coming up. Several states are suspending sales taxes on certain “back to school” items – and Stampin’ Up! has plenty! Here’s a spreadsheet with the various states, dates, and qualifying Stampin’ Up! products. (This is a little compressed, so click on the photo to see a larger and easier to read image.)

If your state is on the list, be sure to check the dates. Virginia tax is only 5.3% (only! But it’s better than a lot of other states!), but it’s still a great savings.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

You made the way so smooth for me ghat I was totally unstressed and could give Bethie undivided attention. She is a real trooper and came through the ordeal like a champion. Thanks again for all your caring.
