Today is another sketch challenge. This is from “Create with Connie & Mary,” and since I just finished the color challenge at Fab Friday, I thought this would be fun.
Here’s my take on the sketch using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set.
You can see, I’m still using the Brick Wall embossing folder. I know it’s backordered, but it will be available soon! Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long if you don’t have it yet!
I stamped the greenery and other images from Awesomely Artistic on the Smoky Slate layer before embossing using Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, and Daffodil Delight ink. Then I sponged the edges just a little. I stamped the main oval image in Mossy Meadow, and then I die-cut it with the Ovals Collection framelits. I used the aqua painter and a little Mossy Meadow ink to fill in the leaves.
I wanted to use the little dragonfly, but I wanted him (her? but then it would be a damselfly, right?) to be a little ethereal, so I inked the stamp in VersaMark, then in Soft Sky before stamping on vellum card stock. I embossed it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder before I cut it out.
The banner is Mossy Meadow card stock. I added a strip of Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape under the banner. And that’s all there is to it!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. The CCMC365 challenge ends at noon Wednesday, so if you have time before it closes, give it a try! Have a wonderful day!
I love the way you’ve combined all of the Awesomely Artistic elements to create your card; the dragonfly looks so delicate and fragile! Thanks for joining us over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!
