Blooming Garden

Garden in Bloom, Stampin' Up!I had so much fun playing with my new Stampin’ Up! products! This card is full of new products from the 2015-16 Annual Catalog.

First – the stamp set is Garden in Bloom.  It’s a 2-step set, and it so simple to use. It’s photopolymer, so you can see exactly where you want to stamp. And, like the Lotus Blossom set from Sale-a-bration, it has little arrow tabs that don’t get inked but help position each layer.

I wanted to use my new Timeless Elegance designer series paper, so I chose colors to coordinate with the paper.  I stamped the flower outlines in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then stamped the inside with Tip Top Taupe. That is fast becoming my favorite color! The flower centers are Delightful Dijon – another color I wasn’t sure about, but I really like it.

To pull in the colors from the designer series paper, I layered each panel in Basic Black and added it to a Tip Top Taupe card.  I stamped the sentiment – from Happy Happenings – in Tip Top Taupe and layered it to a Tip Top Taupe punched Washi Label. I was sad to see the Modern Label Punch retire, but I do like the Washi Label punch. It gives a fresher look, I think. And while we’re on the subject of Tip Top Taupe, can you say that without smiling? It’s just fun. Really. Just say it – Tip Top Taupe. Fun, right?

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
