It’s not a January 1 New Year’s resolution; it’s a resolution for the new Stampin’ Up! year. And since they’ve changed some things, the new year doesn’t start until October 1, so I have some time to work up to it. But here’s the resolution:
“I will not buy every designer series paper in the catalog, hoard it until the retiring list comes out, and then try to use it all up in one month.”
I do this every year, and I promise myself I won’t do it the next year. And, yet, I do. (I do the same with ribbon, but that’s another issue.)
Before we left for vacation, I worked feverishly to finish some projects that will be due while we’re gone. Some won’t be posted until June, so I was able to use new products (yay!!). But one is due Sunday, and I don’t want to taunt you with too many sneak peeks of things you can’t purchase yet (unless, of course, you’re a demonstrator). So I decided to use some of the retiring Flower Pot designer series paper.
I was trying to pull in other retiring products as well – like Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding ink and card stock. And the Flower Pot paper seemed perfect for a background for the Sheltering Tree images. I added a little Petite Petals flower, punched with the coordinating Petite Petals punch over the Whisper White satin ribbon.
In case you’re wondering, I’m not using this for the challenge after all. I brought a craft bag with me and made a card last night with a new (to me) stamp set. When I photographed it this morning, I realized it fit the challenge a little better than this one – so you’ll see it Sunday.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Have a wonderful day.
Lovely card, Buffy. I love this set and have made several different cards from it.
