Here’s an anniversary card I made for one of my favorite couples. While I know many people are sad about the Stampin’ Up! retiring list, there are still lots of products available to make fabulous projects. Like the White Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Gold Foil, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, Itty Bitty Accents & Bitty Butterfly punches, and, oh yeah – the Butterflies thinlits!
My little ensemble uses the Something Borrowed designer series paper and For the New Two stamp set from the Occasions catalog. While I’m fairly sure the designer series paper will be discontinued at the end of the Occasions catalog sales period, most of the other products shown here will be available through next May. I’m not sure yet about the stamp set or the gift card envelope thinlits die. I’m crossing my fingers that the die stays around, but even if it doesn’t I’m keeping mine. I use it for closing gifts for our real estate firm.
I’m very pleased with how my doily turned out. I edged it with Gold Metallic Encore ink, then embossed with gold powder. (Oops – yeah. The gold and silver ink is retiring. Again. Keep those pads, too! The ones I have are the ones from before they “retired” the last time! You can always use Versamark, though.)
I love how there’s glitter but no mess, because it’s glimmer paper. After I finish painting 50 cones with glue and glittering them for an Apple Blossom luncheon, I’m probably going to be done with glitter for awhile. My basement is covered in glitter. And, of course, the cat – who thinks she’s supposed to sneak under the newspapers I’m glittering over – is also covered in glitter.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Happy anniversary, Wes & Steph! Have a lovely day!
