Happy Heart Bokeh

Lovely Amazing You, Stampin' Up!I wanted to try a new twist on the Bokeh technique, and I love the little feathers from Lovely Amazing You*, so I merged the two ideas into a happy heart card!  First, I inked some watercolor paper with Island Indigo and Pool Party ink refills and and aqua painter.  While it was drying, I die cut and punched different sized circles in a window sheet to make a template.

After the watercolor paper dried, I sponged through the template with Whisper White craft ink.  It wasn’t quite “obvious” enough, so I added some Smoky Slate circles as well.  And that was a little too obvious.  So I went back over them with the Whisper White and sponge daubers.  Better.

The feathers are all stamped on Pool Party card stock with Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Rose Red ink.  I cut them out, added a silver baker’s twine bow, and stamped the sentiment in Island Indigo.

This is definitely one of the cards for my “stash” – for when I need a quick card and don’t have time to make one!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!

*Lovely Amazing You is not in the catalog, but you can order it online or through a customer or workshop order.

This is great, Buffy. I love this one. There is something special about adding the Bokeh technique to just about any type of card. Great job.
