I wanted to use Indescribable Gift for an Easter card for my parents this year. I’ve heard it’s a cherry blossom, but it kind of looks like an apple blossom, and being from an apple-growing family, it just seemed fitting. It’s also a very loose interpretation of the Craft Project Central sketch challenge this month. Here’s the sketch designed by Michelle –
I used the On Film framelits to create a frame for the blossoms. Instead of the banner, I used a butterfly die-cut. I added some pearls to the center of the butterfly and on the blossom layer. I felt it needed a few more, because that one large pearl just looked a little lonely.
For the background on the larger Blushing Bride layer, I stamped the I Love Lace background stamp in Blushing Bride. And if you haven’t used the 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon yet, you have to try it out. It’s so easy to tie – and very pretty.
You can see my interpretation is quite loose. I counted the bottom of the framelit as the semi-circle layer. I’m not sure that really counts – but having anything else on the card just didn’t seem to fit.
