I’m working on a blog hop, projects for card club, and a project for Craft Project Central this weekend. Plus, I’ve been getting ready for several recitals and an alumni reunion next weekend. So, needless to say, life’s a bit crazy.
Instead of a brand new project, I’m posting a sneak peek of my post for the “March Madness” blog hop. It starts Thursday night, and you’ll definitely want to check it out! We’ll be featuring at least one “fancy fold” each. I had a blast – and this is a peek at my projects.
And now, another Amelia story. We spend lots of time chatting when we’re together. She loves to share her newest discoveries, and, of course, we talk about stuff like boys and school and what she wants to be when she grows up.
Last week, she was on her changing table in her favorite “Happy Baby” pose. Then she straightened her right leg. And then she bent it. And straightened it, And bent it. Then she looked at me, like, “Did you know it could do that?” I said, “Yes, Amelia. Both legs do that. Your knee is a hinge joint. So is your elbow.” And THEN – she started straightening and bending her arm – because she’s brilliant and understands everything you say, even at six months.
I was ready to suggest her parents call MENSA as well as some fancy schools for genius children so she could get enrolled as soon as possible. And then she took off her sock and started chewing on it. So maybe we have a little work to do before she enters MIT. (She has, however, crossed “go to college” off the list of things she wants to do before she’s 9 months old. She did that last week when she went with me to pick up some music.)
Whatever she ends up doing in her life, I know she’ll do it with gusto! She’s definitely a little go-getter. Like her parents, she doesn’t let much stop her from getting what she wants.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and for indulging this very proud grandma! Have a wonderful day.
