One of the new Sale-a-bration products – only available in March with a qualifying order – is a whole stack of 24 – 6″ x 6″ sheets of printed vellum. There are 12 different designs, and I chose the butterfly pattern for my first project. The whole time I was making this, I was thinking of my friend Susan who hates butterflies. I know! How can you hate butterflies? It’s like hating sock monkeys. Oh, wait. She hates those too. And clowns, I think. I’m with her on the clowns. And if I had butterflies swarming up my nose and in my hair and – well, kind of like The Birds, but with killer butterflies – I might not like them either. But sock monkeys? (*shaking head in wonder*) Fortunately for Susan, there’s not a sock monkey pattern in the vellum stack.
Back to the vellum – you can color on it with Stampin’ Write markers or Blendabilities (if you have them…And I’m sure they’ll be back!). I used Stampin’ Write markers for mine, and had a blast coloring all the butterflies. I used too many colors to name. I didn’t even try to “match” them. I just grabbed markers from my Many Marvelous Markers box.
I wanted a little dimension, so I added a stamped, punched butterfly from Papillon Potpourri to the center of the card, some Bermuda Bay ribbon and a sentiment from Simply Wonderful – another Sale-a-bration product.
Remember – if you’ve ordered Blendabilities and they’re on backorder, you can exchange them for something else. I had five sets on backorder from Sale-a-bration, so I was able to exchange them for all four new products (two of the vellum!) instead. Contact your demonstrator to get it all worked out!
Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
