Coffee & Friends

sketch

This is the sketch this month for the “Creating Pretty Cards” challenge at Craft Project Central.  This sketch was designed by Yapha, and it’s a lot of fun to work with.  I was working on cards for an upcoming “March Madness” blog hop – and shoveling snow so Mike will be able to park when he gets home tomorrow night – and I was out of ideas for a project for today.  Sketch Challenge to the rescue!

Here’s my card.

Perfect Blend, Stampin' Up!

Perfect Blend is one of my “go to” sets!  I love it, and even if it retires, I won’t get rid of it.  It just makes me happy.

You can’t tell in the photo, but the cup is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock, and the lid is stamped and cut from Whisper White.  A Very Vanilla lid just made me think there had been a fire or a lot of smokers in the coffee break room, so I had to lighten it up.

Instead of ribbon, I used three strips of Retro Fresh washi tape.  And I stamped and cut the coffee sleeve from Crumb Cake and embossed it with the Argyle folder.  The coffee stains behind the cup are from Snuggles and Smooches, one of the monthly photopolymer sets.

Give the sketch challenge a try!  If you post it to the Craft Project Central blog, you could win a free subscription!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!
