Perpetual Birthday Calendar Card

Stampin' Up!, Perpetual Birthday Calendar

This is an idea from Diana Gibbs’s presentation at Leadership.  She did an amazing job of showing us that just because a stamp set or product is for a kit, it can always be used other ways.  The butterflies are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar set and the sequins are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar kit (they’re colored, but you can’t really tell in the photo).   I stamped the butterflies in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point and Elegant Eggplant (ROYGBV rainbow colors), and the sentiment (from the Sale-a-bration set “Best Day Ever”) is in Island Indigo.  There wasn’t room for another set of butterflies, and I had to get the “Indigo” in the BIV somewhere, right?

This is a quick and easy card, and you can make several at one time so you have some on hand.  If you leave the sentiment off, you can add it when you need the card.  I love having a few all-occasion cards ready for when I need them.

One more snow is in our forecast.  I’m actually looking forward to this one.  Since we’re dogless now (*sad*), we don’t have to shovel paths and figure out how to get geriatric dogs outside.  Mike’s out of town, and I’m kind of looking forward to a day or two with nothing to do except practice and craft.  By the time Mike’s on the way home, everything should be cleared away.  And I have to say, although this cat we inherited is a little on the crazy side, I’m enjoying having a kitty again.  She’ll help me come up with some creative ideas tomorrow, I’m sure!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a beautiful day!
