Here’s another card for the class next week. As I’m looking at the photo, I’ve decided to change it as well as the one from yesterday. It almost looks like the tulip layer is inside the card (probably because the sides of the oval are sponged, so it looks like a shadow). But what a great idea, right?
This is a single stamp set – Love Is Kindness. Since it’s a single stamp, it’s only available in wood mount. But still – it’s less than $10! I love coloring, so I had to get this stamp. For this example, I used Blendabilities. One of the skin tone markers would probably be better for the newspaper. I wanted it a little darker than Very Vanilla, but the lightest Crumb Cake Blendabilities marker was a little too dark. Or, maybe the tulips were just really wet and soaked the paper. At any rate, I only had Crumb Cake with me, and I wasn’t patient enough to wait and color it when I got home to my full shelf of Blendabilities.
I die cut the ovals with the Ovals Collection framelits, and the background layer is the Typeset specialty designer series paper. I added a few candy dots around the oval. They’re supposed to be more curved, but they gave me a bit of trouble, so they’re not as curvy as I wanted.
I’m loving the new 1/4″ cotton ribbon. I used Pumpkin Pie on this card. It’s so soft and easy to work with.
Don’t forget – with every $50 you spend during Sale-a-bration, you can select a free Sale-a-bration item. Hostess a $250 minimum workshop and add $25 to your hostess dollars. That’s $65 in free product for a $250 order! And if you join my team during Sale-a-bration, you can select a free project kit from the Occasions catalog or select two Sale-a-bration items. The Sale-a-bration items this year are my favorites ever. You’ll be seeing a lot of them over the next few months.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day! (Oh, by the way – if you order everything I used to make this card, you can select two free Sale-a-bration products. Just sayin’.)
