A Happy Thing

A Happy Thing, Sale-a-bration, Stampin' Up!

This is one of the cards we’ll be making this month in our “Card Club.”  Or stamp a mini stack.  Or stamp camp.  I’m having a hard time deciding what to call it.  Basically, we make five cards.  You can either pay the class fee or place an order.

And – disclaimer.  The class card won’t be exactly like this.  I made this in stages.  I started it at the office during Sandy’s Craft Day, so I stamped the bird on Very Vanilla card stock and colored it with Blendabilities.  (I’m loving the new Bermuda Bay markers!)  Then I took it home, masked the bird and stamped the Dictionary background in Crumb Cake.  So far, so good.

But then it took a little side trip.  I love the feather pattern in the Back to Black designer series paper.  But that really doesn’t go that well with Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.  So for class, you’ll be stamping on Whisper White and using Smoky Slate for the Dictionary background.

This “A Happy Thing” stamp set can be yours free with a $50 order (before shipping & tax) during Sale-a-bration.  It’s very cute – and a great set to either watercolor or color with Blendabilities.  Simply order the items in the table below (just order one of the Dictionary stamp options – clear mount or wood mount), and add the “A Happy Thing” set free!

And finally – I apologize for my photo.  My camera has been having a tantrum.  First it informed me that my SD card was not usable (yes, it is), then the battery died.  Now it’s charged and once again talking to the card, but it’s blurry.  Ugh.  Back to my phone!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a happy day!
