I love this vintage birthday card. It’s one of the swaps from the downline event in Wilmington last month, and was designed by Kim Quigley. I haven’t done a vintage card for a long time, but it’s my favorite style. This one uses Gorgeous Grunge and Tape It stamp sets, as well as Think Happy. It also uses the Woodgrain embossing folder and Flashback designer series paper.
Today was a wonderful day! I slept in (until 8 a.m.) and then I got a text from Steph in the early afternoon that she and Amelia were shopping, but Amelia decided it was nap time. They came by for a visit, and Miss Amelia stayed here while here mom when shopping. It was so fun to visit with both of them! Amelia was very tired, but, as you can see, she decided she was too grown up for an afternoon nap.
She slept long enough for her mom to do a little shopping with a friend. And by the time Steph got back, Miss Amelia was awake and happy. She’s such a sweetheart. She spent Friday with Mike. He had to run out for a couple of hours while I was between lessons, but most of the day, it was just the two of them. When she and I have a day together, we talk about life, sing, read books, talk a little more…you know – basic stuff. I don’t know what she and her granddad did Friday, but I think they may have been watching videos of Gene Simmons and KISS.
