Hello there!

White Christmas, Stampin' Up!We made a “White Christmas” card for our clubs this month and used the snowman between the trees.  Mom came to the club on Thursday, but instead of stamping, she offered to play with Amelia so I could concentrate on helping stampers.  In return, I made her cards for her. (Oh, what a sacrifice she made!)

Since Mom and Dad live in the woods and have deer and turkeys and all kinds of other wildlife tracking through their yard all the time, I used the deer image instead of the snowman for her card.  It just seemed fitting.

One of the fun things about this stamp set is there are two birds – and each faces a different way.  So while the snowman had a bird to talk to on the other tree, the deer has his own little cardinal to say, “Hi!” to.

I stamped the trees, deer, bird and star in Jet Black StazOn, then colored with Stampin’ Write markers (Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Real Red).  Then I sponged a little Soft Sky around all the images.  You can create masks to keep from sponging Soft Sky in the snow, star and other images by stamping the images on scrap paper and cutting them out.  Then cover the stamped images with the mask.  Easy!

I didn’t stamp a sentiment on this one, just in case Mom wants to use it for a birthday or thinking of you card.  Hope she likes it!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!
