Here’s another card for this month’s classes. I loved the Visions of Santa set when I saw it in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. I just think the dancing Santas are adorable. I mean, what Santa doesn’t dance around in his underwear on Christmas, right? (Am I alone here? Is my Santa the only one who does this?)
I wanted to fancy up the fancy reindeer a little more, though. (Ok – is it a reindeer? Or a moose? I keep calling it a moose, but it’s Christmas, so it should be a reindeer, right? But it doesn’t look like the pictures of Rudolph and Co. Please, friends from the North – help!) I did a little paper piecing by stamping the
moose reindeer creature on Soft Suede cardstock and again on a scrap of Santa & Co designer series paper. Then I cut out the long underwear part of the image from the designer series paper and adhered it to the moose, er, animal.
The rest of the card is all Big Shot (except the ribbon). I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder for the background, and used the Labels collection and Circles collection framelits for the image. The ribbon – also from the Holiday catalog – is the Real Red satin woven ribbon. If you want the card to be a little more whimsical (and flat and easier to mail!), you can add some of the Santa & Co washi tape instead.
Hope you have a wonderful day with visions of dancing Santas! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.
