Mike & I are in Virginia Beach for a conference, so this will be a quickie. (The card and post!) We got here a little after 1 a.m. Everything seems to happen at the last minute when you’re trying to get out of town. Our plan was to leave at 1 or 2 in the afternoon, but that certainly didn’t happen. It was closer to 8 p.m.
I have been having a lot of trouble with my phone. I think it’s because I haven’t updated, but I have so many Amelia pictures that I need to sync to my computer, I don’t have enough memory. Anyway – it’s not ringing about 3/4 of the time. I set the alarm last night for 8:30 this morning, and I was so mad because it didn’t go off. Stupid phone. Then I double checked, and realized I had set it for 8:30 p.m. Oops. Sleepy Buffy! (Note: Just got back from a “mobile tricks and gadgets” seminar, and the presenter said to wait a couple more weeks before you update to ios 8. There are lots of bugs, and bugs with bugs. I think they’re working on 8.3 right now. Maybe 8.5.)
This is just a really cute but quick and easy all-occasion card. If you wanted to make it for a man, use linen thread or frayed burlap, change the colors a little and use the Wetlands or maybe the Traveler set. I used Petite Petals set with the coordinating punch. You can easily cut 1″ squares with your stampin’ trimmer, but I used the 1″ square punch. If you’re using an image that’s a little larger and you don’t want to cut it out, you can punch the image with the 1″ square punch, then layer to a punched postage stamp.
I finished it off with a little Bermuda Bay 1/8″ taffeta ribbon. If you’re like me and forget to cut your paper at 4-1/4″ x 11″ (so the ribbon will easily wrap the front of the card), you can use the 1/8″ handheld circle punch to punch a very small hole at the fold. The ribbon will slip right through, and no one will notice the punched area.
Hope you’re having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.
