I decided to break out some more “spring-y” colors this time. I took this with my phone in the basement, so the colors are a little off. The card base is Strawberry Slush, with Bermuda Bay on top.
The flowers are stamps from Beautiful Bunch and Flower Shop. I stamped the images, then used an aqua painter to blend the ink from the outline into the flower. To make the center of the Beautiful Bunch flower, I stamped again with a darker ink on a scrap piece of paper, then punched it with the 7/8″ scallop circle punch, and layered it to the flower.
As a final touch, I added some of my “homemade” Crushed Curry Dazzling Details to the flowers. Simply pop to the top off a container of Dazzling Details (I use pliers), then add drops of ink refill. I have no idea how many. It depends on how full the container is and how dark you want the color. I just play around until I’m happy with it, stirring often with a small dowel.
Of course, both sets of flowers have coordinating punches, which is much easier than cutting them out with scissors.
(Note: I didn’t see the faint frame behind the Honeycomb embossing until now. Obviously, that was a reject from an idea I had that used the Fun Frames embossing folders. Oops! Not intentional.)
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
