Awesome Day

Awesome DayThis is a CASE of a card I saw in our Stampin’ Up! Magazine, Stampin’ Success.  The original was designed by Melissa Banbury, but I changed a few things.

I used Endless Birthday Wishes in Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss for the sentiment.  The background is one of the stamps in Work of Art.

Instead of stamping and cutting out leaves with – horrors – scissors, I die-cut three leaves from Pumpkin Pie and Blackberry Bliss using the Autumn Accents Bigz die, because the Sizzix framelits, thinlits and Bigz dies have me spoiled.  Then I spritzed the leaves with water, crumpled them, and added a little ink to show off the creases in the paper.  And, of course, I used a bit of the burlap ribbon to tie around the card.

This will be one of the options at the stamp buffet.  I’ll have lots of options at the “sentiment table,” so you can decide what kind of card you’re making – birthday, just for you, get well, anniversary, sympathy or any other occasion.

Hope you have an awesome day, too!  Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.

Buffy, I love this! Everything works very well together and the way you did the background with the Work of Art stamp is genious.
