This has been a crazy week, and I’m facing deadlines in all my “jobs,” so I haven’t had time to craft for fun. I know – *sad*. I have some awesome projects, but I can’t show you. They’re for Craft Project Central and other challenges and hops. But you’ll be able to see them next month on CPC and here.
I do have a craft for you, though. When Amelia was born, the nurses asked Steph and Wesley if they could take Amelia for a few hours so her parents could sleep. Of course, they said, “Yes, please.” And, as it happens, that was the last night they got any sleep. Funny how that works.
When they brought her back to the room in the morning, they told Steph how wonderful Amelia was, and that they had done some crafts together. This is Amelia’s masterpiece.
Isn’t she brilliant? Of course, I know she only supplied the little feet. The nurses did a great job of lining up her footprints. Of course, they used Stampin’ Up! inks and markers. (Yes, I’m kidding. I have no idea what they did, because I was at home asleep. That’s the beauty of being a grandparent. You get to sleep.)
I thought this was really appropriate, because Stephee loves butterflies – and Amelia! She grows sweeter every day. Today she learned about Brahms, Schubert and Schumann, she learned to waltz, and we talked about the instruments in the orchestra. She was particularly interested in how a piano works, and she was amazed to learn that it’s kind of a “stringed percussion” instrument. It’s never too young, right?
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
This is wonderful Buffy! We are pretty close in age (I discovered one day) and our children are around the same age, but I am much further away from being a grandparent. I get to live vicariously though your new joy.
The butterfly footprints are super cute!
