Quick & Easy Birthday Card

Tap Tap Tap, Endless Birthday Wishes, Stampin' Up!

I love sending handmade birthday cards to friends and family, but sometimes birthdays sneak up on me.  It’s nice to have a stash of cards on hand, but if I don’t have any that are appropriate, this is a quick and easy one that works for anyone.

I used the Tap Tap Tap set with Endless Birthday Wishes for the image.  Endless Birthday Wishes is a photopolymer set, so you can easily position the words on the typing paper exactly where you want them.  Simply die cut the image and a larger mat (Basic Black card stock) with the Circles collection framelits, and layer to card with strips of designer paper and more card stock.  I used the Typeset specialty paper and the Flashback designer series paper.  Just to add a little more contrast, I tied some Basic Black 1/8″ taffeta ribbon to the card, covering the knot with the die cut image.

The best thing about this card is you can use the basic layout for anything.  You can easily change the colors and designer series paper to make a card with flowers, “kid friendly” images, a nautical theme – whatever you need at the time.  This weekend, I think I’m going to make a bunch of these in different colors and themes so I’ll always have one ready.  (And hopefully I’ll be able to find it when I need it!)

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!
