Stephanie’s baby shower was a huge success! I made a tricycle out of diapers, receiving blankets, socks, bibs and a baby bottle. No, it’s not original; I found the idea on Pinterest. I made Stephee’s with pink since she’s having a little girl. Not that girls can’t ride blue bikes, but after 24 years of buying things for boys, I wanted a little pink in my life!
I wanted everything (except the bike) to coordinate, so I used the Stampin’ Up! Lullaby designer series paper, Something for Baby stamp set and Baby’s First framelits. (Bundle and save 15%!)
Here’s the invitation. You’ve probably already seen it; I posted it several weeks ago. I also made little baby carriage favor boxes for hugs and kisses (and chocolate nuggets).
The Simply Created Banner kit was perfect for a welcome banner. I bought the whole bundle with alphabet and decorative stencils last spring, so I added some extra decorations. I just realized I forgot to take a photo, so you’ll just have to take my word for how cute it was! I used the same colors that are in the designer series paper, and added a few rosettes and butterflies.
And here are the door prizes. I used some packaging from a previous My Paper Pumpkin kit (subscribers can order past kits and refills! Contact me to find out how. And remember, your first two months are half price if you subscribe before Sept. 10.) Two other prizes are wrapped in Lullaby dsp envelopes (love that envelope punch board!) And now for a holiday sneak peek – another box using the gift box punch board. It will be available August 28. I added some more stamped/die cut ducks and a little designer paper for decoration.
Stephee got lots of wonderful gifts – cute little baby outfits, diapers, blankets, baby seats, car seat & stroller, diaper bag and so much more. She’s more than ready for that little one to appear. Mostly, she’s just ready to have her stop using her mommy’s bladder as a trampoline. If you’ve met Steph, you know she’s pretty tiny, so there’s not a lot of room for a baby to do calisthenics. Just about three more weeks!! Stay tuned…
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. And thank you all so much for the wonderful expressions of kindness and sympathy over the loss of our little Walter. We’re doing better. We still have some sad moments, but mostly we can laugh over his antics.
Have a wonderful day!
Everything you described was lovely. The diaper/bib trike was adorable as were the favors and gift bags. As the “old fols” used to say: “A good time was had by all!”
