My Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog preorder arrived yesterday! I’m so excited about all the new products – and am looking forward to playing with them. I didn’t have a whole lot of time last night, so I picked just a couple products from the box to play with.
First – the Gift Box punch board*. So fun, so easy, and no glue needed!
You can make fairly large boxes with this – up to 10.2″³, but the largest card stock I had was 12″ x 12″, so this box is 4″ x 4″ x 4″. (Edited: the 10.2 is centimeters. Oops. 4x4x4 is the largest box, but it’s still a good size!)
I used Kraft card stock to make the box. It took me about two tries to get the “hang” of the score lines, but after that, it was so easy. Seriously, it’s difficult to mess this box up. I stamped the dancing Santas from “Visions of Santa*” in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on two sides and the adorable reindeer (or moose?) in long johns on the other two sides, then colored with Blendabilities.
For the tag, I inked another stamp from “Visions of Santa*” with Stampin’ Write Markers, then added a bit of Santa & Co. washi tape* to the bottom after layering it to a Cherry Cobbler scalloped tag. The ribbon in the tag is a few strands from burlap ribbon. There’s also an adorable “All Is Calm” snowflake embellishment*, but it got turned around before the photo got snapped.
Special note to my mom – look what you can fit inside these boxes!!
Yep – a little pint jar of jelly or jam nestles right in there. We’re going to have a blast making these, Mom! Start rounding up all that designer series paper and 12″ x 12″ card stock you have.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Hope you have a wonderful day with visions of Santa dancing.
