Exciting Day!

Front Royal Pike

I’ve been working at the office three or four days a week to help Mike with the real estate and electrical businesses.  Today, I opted to stay home to prep for technique class tomorrow.  I wanted to get a few things caught up, too – like laundry.  Both dogs had prescriptions to be filled, though, so I dropped the prescriptions off at Costco, then stopped by the office to see if Mike would like a break.  Since it was a little warm, we left Walter at the office while we shopped a bit and picked up the meds.

When we got back to the office, there were several rescue vehicles in the side parking lot, a fire truck in the back, one coming into the lot behind us and a couple trucks from the gas company.  Mike’s first words were, “What has Walter done?”  I honestly think Hoss called 911 once.  The policeman came to the door and insisted there was a call from our number, but it wasn’t me, and Hoss was the only other one here.  So maybe he taught Walter some tricks.

Nope.  It was a gas leak at the car dealer next door.  Apparently it wasn’t a huge deal, because they were gone very soon after they got there.  But it was exciting while it lasted, and maybe we’ll make the papers!  I guess only the corner of our building will be in the paper, and all the publicity will go to the car dealer, but that’s ok.

Walter and I went home before the excitement was over, and I made this using all #StampinUp products.

I Like You, Stampin' Up!

It didn’t turn out at all like I had planned, but I still like it.  I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black first, then created the background.  I was hoping the black would fade a bit, but – oh, well.  After the background dried, I colored the flowers from the I Like You hostess set with Blendabilities.

To create the funky bow, I spritzed some Wisteria Wonder seam binding ribbon with water.  After it dried, I tied it into a bow and added it to the card with a mini glue dot.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and it’s layered with my two go-to punches – Word Window and Modern Label.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful, gas-leak free day!
